over victims of emergency, a local union is putting together emergency kits to be carried in the trunk of all University Police cars.

The kits will contain a blanket, a pair of sweats, socks and shoes. After the victims are taken to the police department for statements they will receive any and all needed hygiene supplies from a bin there.

Eventually the Red Cross will step in and help the victims out further. There is a period of time up to a day or two immediately following an emergency before the Red Cross arrives.
